Cheryl Russell is an Austin, Texas based figurative expressionist painter. She’s passionate about social issues, painting and her family. Originally from Houston, she is now semi-retired from owning a successful marketing firm, focusing on web and graphic design. She’s shown her work in cities across the state and has won multiple awards, including the Clelie Ann Moore Scholarship. Her work has been featured in publications and she was President of the Student Art Club in Galveston, TX. She is currently working toward her B.F.A. in Studio Arts with a concentration in Painting at Texas State University.
